Question about funds held for private sales.

Hello. I have noticed that with several of my private sales the funds were held until the buyer received the item. And for others at the same forum the funds were available immediately. Is it a specific dollar amount that causes a hold, and if so does anyone know it? Or are there other factors at play? Thanks ... View more

Keep getting the "Some info incorrect" when loggin...

Just like the title says I eep getting the "Some info incorrect" when logging in. I reset password and email address multiple times, but it happens daily. This happens on all devices. My PC on all browsers, my cell in the app, and my cell using the browsers so I know its not a cache issue, etc. This has happened basically everyday now for a week. Ill try to log in using info I know is correct, and Ill get that error. So Ill click the help with logging in, send a text code, then create a new password. This will work for the initial log in after creating it. Then the next day that PW stops working. So I thought there was a chance someone had access to the email associated with the account so I changed that as well, and removed it from my PP emails. It happened again the next day. So Im not sure what is going on. I tried to message PP but I guess its after hours, so in the mean time I thought I would try here. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!   PS: It just happened again so I removed that email as well, using a different one with new PW, and set up 2 step verification via text. So hopefully that fixes all this mess.  ... Ebay item not received paypal dispute lost despite...

Ill try to keep this brief. I sold an item on Ebay for $930 shipped. I had extensive messages with the buyer about price, shipping, etc. I agreed to a lower price and shipped Fed Ex ground as agreed rather than an expensive expedited shipping. Anyway the item shows as delivered on 10-19-19 but the buyer contacted me and said it was not delivered. Buyer contacted Fed Ex and they said they had delivered it to the wrong address and would go back and get it the next day to deliver it to the correct one. Well I was told they tried and no one answered. Buyer opened item not received case which I immediately replied to with tracking # and screen shots showing it delivered to the full correct address. But they decided with the buyer. Now my account is negative $930 and I have no idea where the item worth $1600 is.    According the the Paypal seller protection it says you are covered if:   For “Item Not Received” cases: The payment must be marked “eligible” or “partially eligible” on the Transaction Details page. Which it does say eligible. You must provide online tracking to be eligible for protection. And I have provided online tracking. You must ship the item to the shipping address on the transaction details page in your PayPal account for the transaction. Which I did as well.    Now I realize there a lot of things I could have done different in hind sight. Like make sure it was Signature required and I feel stupid that I didnt but the buyer said it wasnt needed because they would be home. Dumb reason not to require it I know. I also wish there would have been additional insurance but when I did the shipping label through Ebay I did not see where to add Fed Ex insurance. I only say a box that asked for declared value but this did not add insurance the way you can with USPS. Maybe I missed something.    Anyway I just thought I would post here and get some advice or any help, and to warn others as well. I read pages and pages of sellers that won disputes just by providing tracking info that says delivered which I did.    I found out why Paypal sided with buyer. I did not know that signature is required in the US for packages over $750. And they also said I lost because of no insurance, and that Fed ex admitted to sending to wrong address despite the label being correct. So I was blamed for that as well. So I learned the hard way about what the seller protection requirements are. I didnt see any of that on the page I read at first about them.   UPDATE: Wow just when I thought all was lost the person that received the package at the wrong house called me. She said she had contacted Fed ex multiple times to come pick it up but they never did. So she called the buyers number on the box. While I was on the phone the buyers wife was just arriving to that house to pick up the package. We are now working out what to do next. They will be calling me. This has been crazy and I learned that is is not worth skimping on signature required and insurance just to make a few more bucks. ... View more

Well its now 1%. Ive tried it on my PC and the app, same thing. Anyone get any notice of this change? I know 1% isnt a lot, but is a whole lot more than .25. ... View more

Bought 4 items, then received Ebay email saying it...

The other day I bought 4 items from a seller on 2 separate transactions. About an hour later I got emails from Ebay saying it was from a compromised account and the transaction was cancelled and the items removed. It said in the email that if I had already paid I needed to open item not received cases which I immediately did.    I waited for awhile and didnt hear from Ebay or the seller. I emailed the seller asking if they would just send the refund of $192 and then I could just close out the cases manually myself. The seller responded saying that "Ebay is handling it since the account was compromised and that they would be contacting me soon".    Im not sure this is true because in the case it says that I am waiting for the sellers response, and that Ebay wont step in unless the seller does not resolve this. I am trying to explain to the seller that if they would just send the refund I could close out the cases, but they seem to think Ebay is handling it. Is this true? Do I just wait until the deadline date of the 23rd where I can "ask Ebay to step in"? Wouldnt this be a negative against the seller since it looks like they just ignored the case and forced Ebay to process the refund? Just trying to figure this out because this is the first time I have dealt with this. Thank you ... View more

Question about ebay transaction after cancelling u...

Hello. I purchased an item from a seller with 0 feedback and paid for it. I then noticed that the funds were unclaimed. So I contacted the seller to ask them to fix it. I got no response, and after reading other posts where it recommended to cancel the paypal transaction I did just that. My question is what happens with the ebay transaction at that point? Does it automatically cancel the ebay order? Or do I need to still manually ask the seller to cancel? Thanks ... View more
