The best way to show PayPal we've had enough is to leave them! More and more options are becoming available. Check out this one that American Express is purchasing!   http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5iODFWhaFoN-9kP80MamuARuedQ5g   ... View more

As a seller I'm out of pocket for these expenses... 1. Cost of item sold 2. Listing Fee 3. PayPal Fee 4. Shipping Cost 5. Insurance Cost   The buyer pays PayPal, who holds my money until I receive positive feedback or 21 days. They hold MY MONEY as if it's their's to do what they choose with!! No interest provided, nothing. They just hold it. If I want to pay even more money and pay for tracking, then I'm given the pleasure of having to contact PayPal (by phone, because they refuse to help by e-mail) and ask for my money EVERY TIME a buyer doesn't leave feedback. PayPal is finally generous enough to release MY MONEY to me and now I have to wait another 3 or 4 days for them to send it to my account! Of course if I have a PayPal debit card, it's available right away. Sure it is! That's because they want everyone to have one of  their debit cards so they can earn MORE FEES from the companies you use the debit card with! They could transfer the money quicker than 3 or 4 days. They choose not to so they can try to force your hand in getting a debit card so they can earn more fees!   So I have a way around this, I'll just request payment by money order. Well, now that Ebay purchased PayPal, amazingly they no longer allow money order or cashier check payment for most auctions! Of course they don't. If they allowed that, they couldn't force sellers into paying the PayPal fee. So now I'm stuck paying an additional fee to PayPal, in addition to my Ebay seller fees!   Ebay and PayPal are absolutely terrible for sellers! They're forcing us into accepting terrible policies and they are holding OUR MONEY for up to 3 weeks simply because they can get away with it. How is it legal for them to hold our money for 3 weeks, earn interest on it, and not pay that interest to us?!?!?!? We have no voice, and no power. They have a virtual monopoly on the online auction market and we're stuck with a take-it-or-leave-it policy that keeps reaching deeper and deeper into our pockets! I am absolutely disgusted by their practices.    ... View more

PayPal is not willing to help via e-mail. You have to spend an hour on the phone begging for your money. Why doesn't PaylPal monitor shipping when tracking numbers are entered and release funds IMMEDIATELY when shipment is confirmed?!?!?!? Don't give me a song and dance about protecting the buyers. This is so PayPal can hold onto the money, reinvest in overnight sweep accounts and pocket the interest. PayPal should be forced to pay interest to the sellers for holding their money! ... View more

Ebay will now cancel any auctions (with few exceptions) that offer Money order or Cashier's Check as methods of payment. They force you to use PayPal so they can collect even more fees. ... View more

So I pay for tracking on 2 items I shipped. Both have been delivered. I've asked for feedback from both buyers, with no response. I send PayPal an e-mail asking to have my funds released. They reply telling me that I have to call them! I have a day job! I don't have time to spend an hour on the phone begging PayPal to give me MY MONEY.   I am so fed up with Ebay and PayPal. What used to be a great service is now junk. It's not worth the time, effort, cost and aggravation. ... View more

In addition to everything I listed above, PayPal takes another 3-4 days to transfer the money to your bank account after the funds are made available! I don't know any other business model where sellers need to wait a month for payment after selling an item! ... View more
