This SHOULDN'T be so hard!  When you use the business debit card as a credit card online, you need to enter the 16 digit account number, expiratio date, and 3 digit code on the back.  The problem is that there's NOT number on the front, NO expiration date on the card, and NO 3 digit code on the back.  SO, how do you use this darn card online as a Mastercard????? ... Surplusdude - I cannot believe you even took the time to type this ridiculous statement!  You tell me ONE business in this entire universe that ships any item without getting payment for both the item and the shipping costs because I want to deal with them.   STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!! ... Ok, you can write your Congressman if you wish, or anyone else you think cares.  I wrote  to the Attorney General and the FTC many months ago, including over 150 pages of these posts,.  There is also a Class Action suit being filed.  If you go back and read some of the 170 pages here, you will see that many have travelled many avenues, but Paypal is still holding funds.  Ebay, it appears, no longer wants the little guy to sell.  They are no longer the "place to sell your unwanted items and earn an income".  I no longer sell on Ebay and don't know if I will ever try again or not.  I do know that if I sell an item, I will not send it out (at my expense) to a buyer who may or may not leave feedback, may or may not say they never got the item, may or may not scam me.  As a person who has worked hard all my life for everything I got, I'm not about to hand something over to someone else for free, especially when someone else (Ebay and Paypal) profit from the scam. Some people have sent items and the buyer (scam artist) has told Paypal they never received or it wasn't according to the description.  Their funds were refunded back to them and the seller sits scratching his/her head, while Ebay and Paypal profitted from the listing and sale.   Paypal reads these posts, evident by some of their own posts.  You would think that if they cared one small bit, things would change.  No change means they couldn't care less.  Buyer protection??? I would think seller protection would be at the forefront, however, as you can see, the seller doesn't mean Jack to Ebay.  Ebay is trying to get rid of the sellers like you and me.  This has been their intent from the beginning of this atrocity of "Buyer protection:.  Some of us are just a little slower than others at seeing this.   In the not so distant future, buyers will stop coming to Ebay because of the issues with the small sellers.  They won't know who they can trust to send out their items once they've paid for them, so they'll just stop coming, period.  Ebay, the greedy grinch will then cease to exist.   Goodbye Ebay!!! ... femsol,   femsol,   I tried the link you provided, but I kept getting an error, so I went into The Register Website.  I typed in Ebay Germany and found this.  Ebay is a real joke.  Now that Germany has gotten on the bandwagon, the USA really looks like a joke, doesn't it?  The US people seem to have no one in their corner and we have to fight for OUR rights!       eBay Germany faces PayPal probe   Post comment Ich nichten lichten By John Oates • Get more from this author Posted in Small Biz, 26th February 2010 15:53 GMT Free whitepaper – Out-of-box comparison between Dell, HP, and IBM blade servers eBay Germany is being investigated by competition authorities concerned that its tying of PayPal to certain eBay purchases is in breach of consumer law. eBay.de recently asked sellers with low feedback points to offer PayPal. The company justified the move because it said the number of bad buying experiences is twice as high from sellers with less than 50 feedback points than the average. But the German Federal Cartel Office is investigating complaints made against eBay over this tying policy. The FCO said it had yet to launch a full investigation but was looking into the complaints. The regulator noted that the rule change meant sellers were charged an extra 1.9 per cent on sales made. eBay said: "We are in contact with the FCO regarding their notification to look into the new level of protection which we are introducing to our marketplace for our buyers. We appreciate the opportunity to get into further dialogue with the FCO around the initiative. "We are convinced that asking sellers with few feedback points to offer PayPal as one payment option on eBay alongside further payment methods is to the benefit of both our buyers and sellers and legally completely unobjectionable." eBay has already got into trouble in Australia where it tried to force almost all transactions to go through PayPal. Users were unimpressed, as were Ozzie consumer protection groups, and eBay performed a swift U-turn. Similar moves in the US also went down badly. ®   ... View more

Paul,   For you, I'll be brief -  you are absolutely nuts.  What you write makes no sense at all.  The only thing I can think is that your wild postings on this forum are words of severe delirium.  Please take your meds and stop your rantings.  You'll feel so much better. ... View more

Paul,   You are just plain nuts!  You babble on and on, first telling sellers how great Paypal and Ebay are and how sellers should just stop whining, then when you're called on it, you change and tell everyone how you feel the same exact way....Now, you're back to tell sellers to stop whining again, that Paypal and Ebay are both these wonderful entities again. Paypal took these steps to protect itself???? Wait just one minute, idiot!!!  It's the seller who's at risk, not Paypal.  You and your posts make me want to throw up....How about making an appointment with a shrink and get some meds.  You need them. ...  lawsuit,   As you can see, there are 142 pages of posts on this forum.  Each one of these posts are the same as yours.  There is at least one Class Action suit being filed against Paypal/Ebay, there may be others.  I am attaching a copy of one post that was just a few pages back.  You may want to join this suit.   The following information was provided by femsol, who has done extensive research.   Details and links:   .   http://www.freedweiss.com/Attorney-Profiles/   This is the original law firm and loyalty to that firm would be appreciated although there are other class action firms named this firm is ready to file in Federal Court.   Julie MIller is the specific  attorney and here is her link:  http://www.freedweiss.com/Attorney-Profiles/Julie-D-Miller.shtml   Here is her direct number or there is a toll free number listed:  312-220-0000 It is important that you tell her where you received her name and number ( the "Letssuepaypal website and that "Brian" referred you ) so she will know the nature and background of your call.  This was old info from when this firm was checking us out for a case.   From the email that those of us who had registered  received, is this news which I just love:   "have also been told that the Law Firm should be posting TV commercials, and print ads around the country, in an effort to encourage others who have been victimized by PayPal to join in."   So Paul if serious check out the firm and their credentials as they list the class actions for which they have been involved and Ms. Millers brief history and then call, register adn tell your story.   If you had not irritated me the other day I was going to tell you that you were not far from right about PayPal--they are not acting honorable now because of the restrictions eBay is imposing and that is becoming clearer every day.   PayPal was a great company before eBay bought them and PayPal's actions are the direct result of eBay telling them to hold funds.  Now that eBay is adding ProPay and they are already buying into the Buyer Protection plan and as PayPal has grown to such a profitable company and accepted now by a variety of websites including some government agencies I remain hopeful that they do in fact spin away from eBay and become an independent company again.  They have some problems in the international arena regarding not following a specific coutry's monetary policy but I blame that on eBay as well.    I would like to see PayPal independent again with the hopes that they would again care about their customers that utilize their service.   good night all.     ... femsol,   When reading the link you provided on the Ebay manifesto, I found myself rolling around on the floor, laughing hysterically!!!!  This, hopefully, will show just how ludicrous Ebay and it's higher ups truly are.  To think they can even suggest another country change/overhaul their postal system and form an administrative position to oversee the changes suggested by them,  is so presumptuous of these "holier than thou" ignoramuses.   I truly hope that Paypal breaks away.  They no longer need Ebay, in fact, Ebay is pulling them down and giving them such a bad reputation with online auctioneers.  Without Ebay, Paypal will succeed even more so than they are today.  Ebay has become like a ship's anchor for Paypal.   PS: femsol, shoot me an email.  Each one I send to you comes back!!! ...
