If this wasn't so sad, it would be funny. Ebay's earnings exceeded expectations, which they attribute to their successful subsidiary, Paypal. I agree that this was a way for Ebay to cook the books. As they see more and more people running, not walking, away from both Ebay and Paypal, I wonder if they'll take the responsbility for it. I doubt it. I see some of the holds being removed from some accounts, but, there is NO WAY that Paypal should hold ANY funds from anyone for anything!!!! If they want to offer buyer protection through Paypal, fine. But, I know from many sources that their "Buyer Protection" plan isn't worth the blurb they have on their website. The only sellers that should have holds placed on their accounts are those who have been habitual problem sellers, and even then, I don't think Paypal is the one to be assigned to this duty. If the seller is a bad seller, Ebay should just stop them from selling - suspend or cancel their account. I don't care if you sell electronics or cars, it shouldn't matter. You should be able to sell an item, get paid for the item, send the item, and be done with it. If there's an issue, any good seller will listen to their buyer and try to resolve it. A bad seller should just go away! What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? PAYPAL is basically saying that all sellers **bleep**, no matter how excellent they really are. Like I said, if this wasn't so sad, it would be funny.... Ebay, Paypal, I sure hope you're reading these messages.....And, I hope the messages are coming through loud and clear. Stop being so greedy. Remember the little guy who got you to where you are today. Without us, you'd be nothing. Without us, you WILL be nothing......It may be the time to get back to basics.
