Wow. I had the exact same thing happen to me 2 days ago. I emailed the seller after the 2rd try - they told me the item WAS available and to try again. I was successful on the 3rd try - but later found out that Pay-Pal had charged me 3 times for the item. I called the help desk-They agreed that yes I had been over charged - but the refund would take place after 5-7 business days. And the refund would not go back to my checking account but to my PayPal account - which, once the refunded monies are in, it will take a further 3-5 business days to show up in my checking once I transfer. Really, Really Annoying!! I'm not sure what failed. eBay for saying item was unavailable when it was or PayPal for erroneously over-charging for the same item. (of which they say the delay in refunding was because the mistake was "user initiated" - my point was that we were instructed to make the purchase again, and again after being told the transaction had failed.
