I ordered a products in a pop-up online store, I guess it was a Facebook ad which caught my interest. The store does not exist anymore, many other stores I was able to find out have been opened and closed just weeks later by the exact same people. They sell non-existing products, but they make it look very real. They offered a self-resolving rubik's cube, and also embedded a video how it works. So I ordered 2 of them, with Express shipping, for about 35 USD, and forgot about it. 4 weeks later I receive a small package, containing 2 very cheap standard Rubik's cubes with a value of about 1 buck each. They were shipped by standard China post, not by express. This was the moment when I started doing research about the seller, the email address they had on the confirmation email, and the company who was named as the sender on the package. It turns out these criminals are doing the exact same thing at least since spring 2018, betrayed most likely thousands of people (one of their stores received 800 negative 1-star reviews on Trustpilot, out of 800 reviews, with people complaining about being betrayed the same way I was). I disputed my order to PayPal, and asked for refund. But PayPal does not think they will refund my order. They want me to ship the fake products back to the address on the envelope, which is a warehouse, maybe a dropshipping company, but not the seller, of course. And they are of course requesting me to provide a tracking number. Returning these "bads" (I don't want to call it goods) to China with tracking number cost 56.10 CAD. PayPal want me to blow another 56.10 Canadian out of the window, to refund me 35 USD. As I see, PayPal gives a **bleep** about these fraudulent sellers. They only care for their own business. The buyer protection and refund policy is worth nothing. PayPal is like the 3 monkeys, instead of getting authorities involved to hunt those criminals down, they are obviously already operating the same way for more than 1.5 years. So I will talk to the police now, and I will report PayPal to the police as well, for being the criminals henchman.
