Some sellers list items requiring immediate payment via paypal, and if you don't do this then the item remains available for others to buy.   It does not mean they are scamming at all.   If you have a paypal account then I am confused as to why you are getting the message. Is you ebay i.d. linked to your paypal account? ... View more

You can only have 2 accounts if one is premier and one personal.   However if you have eg 2 ebay i.d's and want to operate separately you can have up 8 email addresses linked to one paypal account and those 8 email addys could be up to 8 ebay.id's  ... View more

If you are sending goods for a large amount of money you need to make sure they are well insured so if they are lost in the post you can refund the buyers via paypal and then claim off the insurance to refund yourself.   You need to refund buyers that have paid you for your item if they don't receive it and if you don't then paypal often will. ... check that your seller has actually got a paypal account.   Then  ask them to check that they listed their email address DURING THE LISTING PROCESS CORRECTLY.   to do this tell them to go and click on sell on ebay and do a pretend listing, they don't need to fill in much just scroll down to the payments section and check the email address they have entered in the paypal section.   Come back when you have the answers or get your seller to come back with that  info.   sometimes the seller has to claim their first payment so tell them to go to their paypal account and see if the payment is showing up there at all. ... no they normally do not hold a payment. however if you don't receive an item you have up to 45 days to file non receipt of item and then escalate it to a claim. if the seller can't  provide a tracking number to prove receipt of item to you then you should if everything is straightforward get a refund.   i have used paypal for 11 years as seller and buyer and never had problems, but as with everything even banks nothing is totally safe. ... if it was an ebay transaction you can pull the other parties telephone number via advanced search top of page > contact member left side of screen.   no one will give you their home address and i think its best you don't pay a personal visit.   if you are the buyer and not received an item then you have up to 45 days with paypal to file non receipt of item.   more details of transaction would be good without giving names etc.  ... as long as you are verified and there are no limits listed in the overview/account activity in your paypal account then i don't think their is a limit.   however if you have a personal account and are using it as a business paypal may put a limit and query this.   also why would you want to leave lots in your paypal account? Surely its safer to just transfer it to your current account at the bank? Keep a little in in case you have to refund a buyer but personally when it gets to £50 i pop it back in my bank account.  ...
