Paypal ignores most evidence until it is rubbed in their nose. You have the "it was stolen after it was delivered" notice by the customer, so THAT goes to Paypal first. Then they have to figure out what they did wrong AGAIN. ... View more

UPS delivered per the directions they received. So Paypal should not charge you for the customer's lack of security. You need proof from the person who saw the package being stolen, but that is going to be very difficult to get, IMO. The buyer's home insurance should pay the costs, not you. But the buyer might have a deductible he has to absorb, so this way he gets all his money at your expense. One option is to consider filing civil and criminal fraud claims against the buyer. Probably not worth the cost, but your choice. Start by filing a criminal complaint of theft by fraud with your local police. Then see if they will send it to the appropriate local (to the buyer) police. No idea what might happen after that. ... View more

You file a claim for a lost package. So whatever the insurance coverage you chose (over the standard coverage--if it was needed), that is what you should get (up to the value of the shipment). If you only had basic 100-pound insurance, that is what you should get.   UPS has to then prove they delivered the package to you. Which, IMO, they can not. Keep whatever messages you received from all three (eBay, seller, and UPS) about what was happening--and when. That way, you have proof if they contradict what they said previously. ... View more

File a lost package claim with UPS and let them deal with it. They have no proof of delivery. You did not request anything other than "deliver it NOW!!". The eBay records show the shipper caused the problem--as  you have the messages to prove it. ... View more

I sent the info I had discovered to Paypal last night (7/26). Today (7/27), in my morning e-mails, I have notice from Paypal they decided in my favor. ALL RIGHT !! Per FedEx, the shipment was made on June 3. But I did not order until June 6/7--and that was the clincher. Thanks for your help in getting past the "closed case" problem. Regards, Jerry ... Just did a detail shipping track on the FedEx tracking number. Per FedEx, the shipment was sent from CA on June 3. However, I did not order until June 6/7. Be interesting to hear what Paypal has to say about THAT.   ... View more

Actually, FedEx does provide written proof. Paypal seems to not like that fact. I forgot I had FedEx Delivery Manager. https://www.fedex.com/en-us/delivery-manager.html The packages Paypay claims were delivered to me are not shown on my FedEx Delivery Manager. I had a package from somewhere else, paid by Paypal, that does show as "delivered". I did received that package. So we know their system works.   The fact the tracking numbers for the fraudulent packages are not shown on that same page is proof, beyond a shadow of a doubt, those are fake shipments. However, there is no way to show that information to Paypal, as they marked the cases "closed" and will not reconsider them.   Therefore, everyone should use the FedEx Pacakage Manager and be able to document--from FedEx--there was no package sent to their address.     ... This was not bought outside the US. The seller had web site set up to take payment and was supposedly in the US. One package shows as shipped from Illinois (two days to show "delivered"), while the other was even closer, as it showed "delivered" in one day. ... View more
