Payment without logging into paypal

I used my Debit Card to purchase an item through ebay I didn't sign into my paypal account it was processed the 18th and I have no way to get the transaction number to file a disput any ideas?

wow are you for real does paypal even have customer service because this is offensive if someone doesn't actually make any attempt at this I'll just stop using it honestly not worth riskings thousands in my bank over a 15 dollar snafu

I don't work for PayPal or eBay.  If you wish to contact PayPal Customer Service, call them... click on the following link to obtain a Web PIN number and the PayPal phone number for your account...

Second, let's start by clearing up some misunderstandings.

PayPal employees are marked by the PayPal symbol to the right of their name, such as on mine. 

Third, I think we can still fix the problem. 

The forums are designed for member to member help; even as a moderator, I cannot discuss account specific information.  For account specific issues, we recommend reaching out to customer service by clicking on the "Contact Us" link.

Which, in this instance, I would strongly recommend.  If you completed a guest checkout process you may not be able to turn that guest checkout into a full PayPal account - especially if you already have one.  I think the best choice would be to call, get in touch with the disputes department, and ask them to file a claim for you.  It can still be done and they'll be happy to do so.  To prepare for your phone call, please have the following information ready so that they can locate the purchase for you: your card information; your email address; purchase date and amount (approximate date and amount is ok).  We look forward to assisting you.

Yes. Once you open a PayPal account, you can view transactions you made as an unregistered PayPal user.

When you sent your payment through PayPal, you received an email receipt. If you still have access to that receipt, just open the email and click the Sign Up Now link to sign up for a PayPal account. If you no longer have the email receipt, visit https://www.paypal.com/signup. Or contact us and we'll resend the receipt.

Once you've opened your account, you can find a record of your previous transactions by going to your Account Overview and clicking the History subtab.

Note: In order to view your transactions, you must register the credit card number used to make the purchase.

It's not clear to me whether you can just add your debit card to your existing PayPal account, or... whether you will need to open a new PayPal account using the link in your payment confirmation email message.
