HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

  Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them!  Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds,not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

Join the club of the angry customers. I have been with paypal for 12 years. This is how they repay us who fund them. They hold our money. I have had 100% feedback for 10+ years. I am with you. It is wrong, and I am walking away because of it.

Yes, I was making business using pay pal for 3 years with 27 trans. 100% positive. All my money request was handeled correctly without any problem.

 

Now, everything is a problem, I called today I talked with someone that doesn't know how to explain the payment release

options. The payment release options with the tracking number doesn't work at all.

 

In other words paypal do not gave a real respect to the people that feed them, I am really upset with this new policy,

unfortunelately we need to find options to do business and find serious solutions about it.

 

We hope respect and a prompt solution of something that creates a lots of question marks, Why they penalize people

with a 100% feedback ???????????????

Sold two items on Ebay, posted tracking numbers, but PayPal has found a way to hold my money. What a RipOff!!!!!!! I'm done with them!!

Same with my item I just sold on Nov 17th it's been over three days since the item was delivered and I also have tracking confirmation showing it was delivered. Brought it up with Paypal and they haven't done anything. They are losing my business for sure untill they fix this nonsense. They even state in their policy they will release the hold after three days after item was delivered with proof. Seems like they can't even follow their policy I should be refunded these fees. Anyway good luck to your situatiuon and hopefully paypal fixes this hold can't be helping them in anyway.

I just got an email stating that all my money will be held as well for 21 days... WTf is this BS? I have never had a dispute against me and I opened my account 11 years ago. My eBay raing is 100% with over 500 transactions...

Same here. I just got notified that my money wont be available pending investigation. I never had any complaints.If this goes on as they describe, i wont be able to sustain .Time to look for other options.

i just got the same message. after calling ans speaking to the manager of the manager of the manager (allegedly) i was told that:

 

1.they are aware that the emails they are sending out contain false infornation and that they will eventually change them to reflect something else...

 

to meet their no hold criteria you must:

 

2.successfully sell at least 50 items in a 6 months period.  she stated that they are restricting anyone who does not sell or has not sold at least 50 items in the past month

 

3.  in additional you must also get at least a 4.52 detailed seller rating (so if you dont get any feedback you are penalized

 

4.you also have to have a rating of 95% **respondent feedback**..

A couple months ago, Netflix changed their policy, and so many people complained and left, that they reversed it. I don't know if that will be the case with paypal, but I urge everyone to call and complain. Email, call, raise a fuss. It is WRONG and hurting people like me who are small-time sellers trying to earn some extra money to support a family. Merry Christmas from Paypal!Smiley Sad

I will NEVER use paypal or Ebay services again for this very reason. They do not want to be responsible for dealing with ebay transaction safety.....buyer protection. They figure if they hold the funds long enough and something goes wrong then they can issue the buyer the refund with the money they've been holding for twenty one days, probably drawing interest on it all at the same time! As a seller, you take a huge chance of losing your item and not getting paid at all!! I bought an electronic item from someone, and on my end of paypal it said "Payment Cleared". On the sellers end it said Pending. So we both go accusing each other of bad business, when the whole time it was ebay holding my funds for 21 days before they gave it to the guy. Naturally, he wasn't going to ship and expensive electronic until the money was in his account....I don't blame him, neither would I!!! So we both go leaving each other negative feedback, and it was ebay the whole time. It wasn't until I decided to sell an item that I found out I would not receive my money for 21 days, and I simply issued the buyer a refund and will NEVER use ebay again. How stupid of them to think that someone would feel safe sending out expensive items without getting their payment cleared.....I hope the whole world turns on these **bleep** and they go down just like NETFLIX!!!!!!!!! Its up to the people to stop cheating corporations like this from getting away with jerking its customers around.....Now ebay and paypal and all their services are completely worthless

Does your paypal balance say 0.00?  My account shows money paid and status complete but balance says 0.00. I started having problems with paypal 4weeks ago and am worried someone hacked my account because I have never had problems in the past and now they claim my account is under review!!
