Ebay Gift Card Troubles

Hello everyone, just like to introduce myself before I get to my problem haha.

 Anyways, I bought and ebay gift card around the second to third week of August and tried to use it for a purchase about two weeks ago. When I tried reedeming the card, this message popped up, "your coupon isn't ready for use just yet. Please give us a little more time. We'll have it ready soon". I thought, okay maybe I will just give it a week or so. I tried using it again today and the same message appeared. I am at wit's end, I spent fifty bucks on these giftcards and threw away the reciept when I first bought ( I will NEVER do that again). Can anyone help me? I noticed some other people are having trouble with the gift cards and recieve the same message. What can we do?

Still does not work, and calling the number says there is no balance... I am really worried about this. Any suggestions?

When you purchased it did the last 4/5 numbers still have the scratch off film over it. 

Did you get the activation codes from the cashier.

Have you tried calling paypal to see if it has been used

Yes the film was still on it and only thing I got from the cashier was a reciept, which I sadly thew away. I called ebay, but not pay pal, I will try that. The error I am getting says that they need time to activate the card, but as you can see, I have given them ample amounts of time. I read online somewhere that they (Pay Pal) are having troubles with the gift cards since last month, and I have no idea if it has been fixed yet.

I have used a lot of ebay gift cards and had only one problem, months age, it took over 12 hours to activate.

It has been about a month man, I guess calling is all I can do 😕
