Hi,
I bought a gift certificate for myself to use in conjunction with a credit card to cover the cost of a purchase. I sent the certificate to an email not associated with my PayPal account. I created a secondary PayPal account in order to redeem the certificate. However, upon checkout, I got this message: "The redemption code you entered can't be used for this purchase because it's linked to another PayPal account. If you have another account, try logging in to that account to use the discount or click Continue to pay without the discount."
Thinking that I also needed a separate eBay account, I created another eBay account. Still no luck.
Please help; this is extremely upsetting and frustrating and I am at the end of my rope.
