Invalid Transaction error-can't figure it out

If I try to use paypal online to purchase, I get an invalid response except on ebay-works fine there. Any ideas?????

Could be almost anything.

Paypal has been very glitchy for the past few months - could be that.

Here are some of the basic cure-alls, though;

Browser - paypal is optimized for Furefox and IE8, doesn't play well with Opera, Safari, Bing and Chrime.

Account - make sure your account has a bank account attached to it and verify the bank account - there's been a real push on lately for account verification, Homeland Security must have been kicking up a fuss.

Credit card - make sure that your credit card hasn't expired or is not within a few months of expiry.

And, if none of that works, I find a sledgehammer can do wonders.....

I like the sledgehammer idea BUT., need a better solution...when my husband uses his card, he has no problem. Weird, eh? Thanks for input.
