I completely understand your concern about the account type. In regards to the bank account type, you will not be able to change the account type once you have added it to your account. You will have to try re-adding the bank account and you most probably will get an option to choose from Savings and Checking. If you're unable to get the option of Savings/checking while adding the bank, it's alright as it will not make a difference and won't impact your payments or withdrawals. You need not be worried about that.
