New Bank Account - Linked to maximum number of PayPal accounts?

I've just created a new bank account, and a new PayPal account. I keep trying to link my new bank account, but get the error:

"We're sorry. That bank account is already linked to the maximum number of PayPal accounts. Please link a different one."

It's not linked to any other PayPal account. The bank account is active and working fine in all other realms and with all other products. I called PayPal help when it first happened and was advised to wait 24 hours and retry. So I did, no change. Called PayPal again, was told to "wait a couple of days and try again." So I did, no change. And now I'm here, hoping someone can provide some guidance?

Based on the information provided here, it appears that you will need to add a different bank account to your PayPal account. Please keep in mind, when you're researching which bank account to apply for, they must offer routing and checking/savings account numbers for the account to be eligible. It must be a brick and mortar bank which has physical branches and isn't virtual or online-only. Hi @PayPal_Jackie , Thankyou for taking the time to reply. I’m afraid the idea of opening a whole new bank account just to service our PayPal account isn’t really practical. To transfer money from my active everyday account, into a third party account, just to then be able to pay with PayPal seems a bit silly. The bank account I’m trying to link is all of the things you mentioned, so shouldn’t have any troubles linking. I have two of the exact type of account with the same bank, one has linked whilst the other won’t. Do you have any other solutions?
