I can't use my preferred bank account to pay and I'm being asked to add a new one.

Basically, this (asking me to add a new payment method) shows up every time I intend to pay for something. I've tried through my browser as well as steam and ea desktop apps. I can still use my bank account which I have saved to send money directly but not for anything else.

I've also removed and readded it multiple times through the window above and it does add it back, I just can't use it. 

Help super appreciated 😞

Sorry to hear that you're unable to complete the payment using your preferred payment method. Every time you attempt to make a payment using PayPal, it goes through a series of filters for a possible risk and may limit the payment options as a security measure to avoid the risk. Such situations can be resolved by trying the payment at a later date by clearing cache, cookies, history from your browser or trying a different browser/device. If the issue persists after trying these steps, please try to complete the payment using different payment method.
