I’m trying to figure out how I transfer money from my bank account to my PayPal balance. My online banking is telling me I need a receiving bank reference number. PayPal told me to ask my bank and my bank told me to ask PayPal
It might not be possible to add money to PayPal in some countries but follow these steps to see if option is available to you. Be sure to link your bank account first.
Otherwise, link your bank account or credit/debit card to the Wallet page. Then select a payment method when buying online with PayPal Checkout or sending money from your PayPal account.
I’m not trying to pay for something via PayPal, I’m trying to add money to my balance. When I select the option to add money to my balance, it takes me to a screen with details of how to add paypal as a payee through online banking,such as BIC and IBAN. But when I try to do this via my online banking, I’m also asked for a ‘receiving bank reference.’ I don’t know where to find this as paypal said to ask my bank and my bank said ask paypal
