Hello, @tonkastoy
Thank you for your post and welcome to our Community Help Forum!
I see that you're concerned about the refund you sent, and you do not have enough funds in your account. If you don’t have a balance or money waiting to be accepted, the entire refund will be issued from the primary bank account linked to your PayPal account. Depending on your bank's processing time, it may take up to 5 business days to process your refund even if the refund status shows "Complete" in your PayPal account. This article will help you provide more information regarding the refund.
I hope this helps!

Hi,
I seem to be having the same problem. I am unable to resolve it using the help links.
I am using PayPal (from India).
When I click on the transaction that I want to refund it opens up the page where I fill in the refund amount. However, as soon as I click 'Issue Refund' it does nothing. It just stays on the same page. and says:
"You don't have sufficient funds in your PayPal account to complete this refund."
I have a bank account linked to Paypal. I am not sure why it can't draw the money from my linked bank account and initiate the refund.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with this issue.
Regards,
Roma

Hello @RomaSharma,
Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues with a recent refund. I can certainly understand how this can be a bit concerning. After a bit of research, I found if you do not have enough funds in your PayPal balance to cover the refund amount, you may not be able to complete the refund from your side. However, I would recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams as they may be able to offer a bit more assistance here.
Good luck!

Hi,
Thanks for messaging in. I am unable to add funds to my Paypal from India. There is no 'add money' option. Hence, when I link my Paypal to another platform that supports refunds from Paypal it throws the error 'Insufficient Balance'. I am trying to find my way around this.
