Hi,

I'm new to this board and I'm German. So I'm sorry for my bad language skills. I have sent money with PayPal and accidentally made a tiping error in the recipient address. So I tried to reverse the money. In the App it says transaction deleted. But from my bank account the money is already payed. How can I get my money back?

Would be happy, if anybody could help me.

Was the payment showing as unclaimed with a cancel option and you cancelled it?

If yes then, when you cancel a payment those funds can't do a u-turn > they have to process through to paypal who will as the transaction was cancelled return them to your funding source (if you paid from your bank account or with a card), or credit your paypal balance (if it was funded from that balance), but that takes a few days and sometimes up to a week.

Hi kernowlass,

thanks for your help. Yes I used the cancel option. Meanwhile I have my money back. But not from PayPal. I cancelled the transfer from my bank account.

In the PayPal App it says now: "debit rejected". And now I have minus 5,20 Euro on my PayPal Account. But I can't see why. Are this transfer fees?

If you didn't wait for the process to complete via paypal but went to your bank to stop the payment then paypal would see it as a failed transfer and charge a fee.

Why didn't you just wait for the funds to go from bank > paypal > cancelled > back to bank, then you would have had no fee.
