The last 4 withdrawals from my PayPal account did not go to my bank account.

Hi, I'm new on the forum, although I've been using PayPal for 13 years. I've never had a problem with PayPal, but my last 4 withdrawals from my PayPal account didn't go to my bank account. Although I received confirmation from PayPal that the payment went through. The oldest withdraw was on October 11, i.e. 14 days ago. I called to the bank and they assured me that the problem must be on the side of PayPal or the payment gateway. I tried to solve it on PayPal through the "resolution center", but there they wrote to me without any explanation that it was not an unauthorized transaction and that the case is closed... I have no idea what to do. The money disappeared from my PayPal account but didn't reach my to bank account...

Hi guys, I am having the same problem. Withdrawal to a Czech bank (KB) completed on 18 October, no money on my account. I tried to contact PayPal via the chat box requesting to speak with a real person. At first some Eleni promised to request tracking of the sum but it has been 3 weeks and no more communication from them nor any money anywhere. My bank (KB) traced the sum but with no luck, thex say they have not recorded any attempt for receiving any sum from PayPal. This sucks!

Money nowhere, I started some messages in message center - they are answering and promising "our team is working hard with this problem" ... and so on .. but no particular answer how and WHEN will be this solved. at present - Paypal stole money from us. right?

Hi all, I am really happy to see some messages in the CZ forum, that people started getting their money. I am not that lucky yet, but as I can see, they have been dealing with it much longer than me. Anyway, I wrote to support yesterday - no answer - so I called this morning, still the same story about the bug, escalation, trying to get info from my bank, and patience (which I am already out of). I feel completely helpless, seems to me that all I can do is just sit and check the account/dashboard over and over again if the money magically appeared or not.

the question is if they will return our money by standard real withdrawal to our bank accounts (KB, ČS, ..) , or if they will return money just to paypal account. and if withdrawal will work for future. without this function paypal is useless at all.

From what I read elsewhere they will send the money back to your paypal account. Then they recommend to remove a bank account you currently have in a paypal system and link it again as a new account. Then you should send the small amount as a test withdrawal and if you receive it to your bank account then you can send the rest of the money.

Yes, shajby is right. But I think that removing and adding the same account again won´t help until they fix the bug with the prefixes. If I understand it correctly, only account numbers with prefixes are affected. So my suggestion is to use another account without it and test it first with a small amount. Of course that would apply only if you trust PayPal and want to continue to use their services.

yes but people who received funds right now are missing them for more than a month (like there was an example of payment sent on 6.10.) and it´s only a few cases so far.

PayPal stated it in their conditions that funds can be returned after one billing cycle which is 30 working days

which is sad but it makes sense when you exclude weekends. That´s my theory when majority of people MIGHT receive funds back. But yeah it´s all super random as communicating with banks who are no help.

(p.s. bank customer service representative told me it takes only 3 working days for bank to return any kind of payment that´s unclaimed for sender)

doesn´t make any excuse for PayPal of course 😕

Hello Everyone, I just check my account and money is restored into my paypal account. They seemed to have charged me 200Kc as they didnt refund the whole amount. So question here is are they trying to monitize their error and make like it was customer error? Very naughty Paypal. Just enough to make it a hassle to try and collect. There are some great expressive Czech words I want to say right now.

Well well just checked the fees table and for a non-withdrawal transfer with the wrong bank number they charge 200Kc. So folks yes they really are going there. Attempting to shift the entire blame even after customer service was provided with copies of the wrong bank number transfer to KB bank AND a copy of the account number they have in their own system. Absolutely clear they simply ommitted the numbers, and still charged a fee hoping to get the customer to pick up the tab.
