The last 4 withdrawals from my PayPal account did not go to my bank account.

Hi, I'm new on the forum, although I've been using PayPal for 13 years. I've never had a problem with PayPal, but my last 4 withdrawals from my PayPal account didn't go to my bank account. Although I received confirmation from PayPal that the payment went through. The oldest withdraw was on October 11, i.e. 14 days ago. I called to the bank and they assured me that the problem must be on the side of PayPal or the payment gateway. I tried to solve it on PayPal through the "resolution center", but there they wrote to me without any explanation that it was not an unauthorized transaction and that the case is closed... I have no idea what to do. The money disappeared from my PayPal account but didn't reach my to bank account...

same : tommorow is 30th working day since my money disappeared and I can confirm nothing on my account .. I´m about to reach out tommorow but I´m seriously very tired of this.

I find it incredibly unfair some people received their money back exactly a month past their lost withdrawal but I can´t tell that so.

35 days and counting, support is as useless as on day one. No explination, no compensation, no warning.

What users managed to find out themselves so far:

  1. Withdrawals from Paypal to banks in Czech Republic (and maybe even Hungary) are marked as completed, but money never arrive to the receiving account and neither they are refunded after 30 days back to the Paypal wallet
  2. Technical error on Paypal's side pressumably causes the withdrawal to be sent to the bank with incomplete number, which means the back cannot accept it and sends it back > money is sitting on Paypal's account
  3. Removing and re-adding the bank account to Paypal seems to have fixed this issue for some users
  4. Regular purchases and transacions work withut issues (at least on the surface) because they use different system from withdrawals

Aside from the technical errorsI find it hilarious that nobody reaches out to affected customers or even checks the forums to provide an explination.

Edit: Support just told me that recent transactions work with no issues. Can anybody confirm that?

Yep! And the "funniest" part? We all know, that the money went back to their UniCredit account, BUT THEY ARE STILL INVESTIGATING, WHERE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!

I haven´t experienced anything this humiliating for a very long time. Begging for my own money...

my second unsuccesfull withdrawal transaction is back to my Paypal account. so this is "whoooaaa" .. because both transactions were longer than a month (I think most important for them to solve it) and because of lots of not so friendly messages with their message center. but you still must be active .-(  without being active they will not redirect any money to you back 😞
And I am still trying withdraw very little amount to Česká Spořitelna just for test, and still doesn´t work.

I'm checking what legal possibilities we have to claim these never-received-withdrawals. I ran out of patience, it's been a month and 5 days and still nothing.

@Clariciacz  At the moment no legal action will ensure you get the money, but if you want to kick Paypal's ankles, contacting your lawyer is the best option.

Apparently their technical team is working with local (Czech) banks to solve this issue. For how long has this been going is unknown.

The reason behind not issuing any warnings is because as of now the withdrawals should be successful. BUT it is advised by the technical team (who is in contact with the customer support) to not withdraw any funds until your previous request is completed.

Can somebody explain to me where is the logic behind this attitude? Obviously people will try to "test the water" by withdrawing small amounts to see if the system finally works now. The more requests = the more faulty withdrawals = more work for the tech team to work through.

Logic? Are you trying to search for any kind of logic here? When I read through this thread, all I can see is a big fat chaos. I was told to transfer only a small amount of money to test it first and I can confirm, that it went through seamlessly (KB), so it is fixed. Am I going to be exxxxxtra nervous when sending a bigger amount next time? Oh yeah!

Anyway, congrats to Daniiik! More good news, please! 🙌

27. 11. I did very small amount withdrawal transaction to Česká Spořitelna (after deleting and re-adding my bak account data in paypal) .. and still same - Paypal has "succesfully finished transaction" .. but no money at my account. So this still doesn´t work

Very sorry to read that, Daniiik. Komerčka works smoothly again (2 mini test transfers and then a normal one), everything was on my account the next morning.

But I still don´t have the missing one 😞
