Sign in location incorrect

Hello All.

I have recently signed in to PayPal to make a payment.
I therefore got an email alert to check it was me 'signing in' and and all was okay.
But I noticed the location was not my location but a completely different location to where I live.
Should I be concerned please?
What can I do about updating to the correct location or is someone trying to fraudulent hack my account please?

Welcome! Thanks for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I can certainly understand how seeing a different location on that email alert would be a bit concerning. Normally, the location you see on those email alerts are based off of the location your internet / service provider gives us. Depending on the service provider, they provide us town or province which may be a bit more than few miles off. As long as it lines up with a login or purchase you made at the same time, there's normally not anything other than that location being off to be concerned about. However you're welcome to update your password and security questions at anytime if you wish.

Thanks for the information, but I am concerned the location is 180miles from me.

That is not even close!................a over 3hour drive!!
