Question about potential funds transfer policy change

I have been a PayPal customer for a long time and have enjoyed using my PayPal business debit card for many years. However, today, PayPal started to decline my transactions even though my bank account had several thousand dollars. When I contacted customer service, they told me there was a policy change. Due to complaints, PayPal would no longer automatically transfer funds from my bank account or debit card to my PayPal account. Instead, I would have to transfer funds manually.

 

Has anyone else heard of this new policy? Do you know of any potential workarounds?
