I seem to have a problem with a merchant doing double authorizations. It has gotten to the point where I have to take screen shots daily on my balance and activity. When I use my card, the funds are immediately taken out of my account, then with in 24-48 hours the same exact transaction ID number completes again and the same amount is removed from my account twice. It happened again this morning, I called PayPal the gentleman started a dispute, however with in minutes they closed the case and said I was not charged twice. Now I took a screenshot of my balance yesterday after using my card, and this charge completed again today @8:34. I was still in bed @ 8:34. So, how can I go to bed with a screenshot of my balance, and wake up with less money in the morning and this has been happening a lot! Again, a single transaction ID number with this merchant shows up 4 times. 1) Temporary hold by merchant (money taken) 2) Temporary hold by PayPal 3) Payment to merchant (money taken out again) 4) Temporary hold PayPal. So for each one there is 3 negatives and one positive??? Does anyone else have these type of charges for one transaction ID number? Any help would be really appreciated. TY! Michelle

December 2nd, money immediately came out of my account, then on December 3rd the following day, it came out of my "balance" again.

Well I keep trying over and over to upload an image, however as seen above, you can see the squares with the line through them. I guess PayPal doesn't want the image uploaded as I have tried in several formats..Now uploading as a JPEG... Well it just said I have uploaded 10 images and can not upload anymore at this time. I tried 3 times to get my transaction in question loaded and it loaded, then surprisingly de-loaded all three times.

Hello @MsBufalo,
Welcome to the PayPal Community!
I'm sorry to hear that you've had multiple authorizations for one charge with a specific merchant. It sounds like the merchant may have an integration issue. When you reached out to file a dispute, if there weren't two completed payments, only additional authorizations, that's likely why the dispute was denied. Duplicate payment disputes can only be approved on completed payments. If you see two payments complete for the same item, please reach out to Customer Support again to request an appeal. When you file the appeal, please grab a copy of your bank statement showing the two completed charges. It may be requested.
If the additional transactions are still just showing as authorizations, they will likely be voided soon. Most banks void authorizations, or temporary holds, after seven to ten business days. However, some can take up to 30 days. I recommend reaching out to the merchant to advise them of the duplicate authorizations, as they'd have the option to cancel the pending order immediately on their side.
I'd also like to provide some information regarding the images you attempted to upload. Images are rejected if they contain any potentially sensitive information, such as the last four digits of a payment method. When uploading screenshots, please be sure to blur/edit the image to remove any details that may appear to be sensitive information.
I hope this information helps!
