Is there any way to request a refund from friends??

Hi everybody. I had a case of mistakenly transferring money to family and friends, who was previously my partner. But now we can't contact you. Is there any way to get that money back? Thank you very much

Welcome and thank your for posting your concern.

We understand that you want a refund from your friend. Best option you have is to contact the person and ask for a refund. PayPal offers protection for the payments made as Goods and Services under PayPal Buyer Protection. Friends and Family option is for P2P payments and will not be cover by PayPal.

This person and I used to be partners but now we are no longer in contact. Their name is still saved in the money transfer directory, so today I mistakenly clicked on this person and transferred nearly $2,000. Because their name is quite similar to the name of the person I need to transfer

As there is no protection for friends/family payments your only options are........

1. Ask the recipient to refund the payment if you are still on good terms with them?

2. If you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then see if your credit card issuer will help you with a chargeback?
