Is there a way to check the email address of my personal contacts in PayPal?

Hi all,
A friend of mine has tried sending money to my PayPal account but it has gone to a completely different email address. Is there a way to check the email address of your contacts to ensure they are correct?

I understand that you would like to check the email address to which the payment was sent. Please be advised that after the payment is sent, you will receive a notification email about the payment being credited along with the payment information such as transaction details, etc. The sender should be able to check the email address of the receiver on the activity page, select the transaction that you're referring to and expand it, the email address that should be listed. If the payment was sent to the wrong email address and if the payment is unclaimed, the sender can cancel it only if the payment is displayed with a ‘Cancel’ button alongside.
If the payment is completed, the sender can ask the recipient for a refund. Go to your "Activity page" and select the payment that wants to be refunded. Use the contact details to get in touch with the recipient and request a refund. If the recipient doesn't respond, open a dispute within 180 days of the payment date through the Resolution Center. Kindly note that friends and family or personal payments cannot be disputed as this kind of payment is not covered by buyer protection. Please check the user agreement to know more about the PayPal protection policy.

Hi Ayesha,
Unfortunately when my friend returned the money it sent it to a different email address than mine, despite refunding it against my account. Neither he nor I have been able to figure out why he would have two different email addresses to the same name. This is why I am trying to find out whether there is a way to check the email addresses in the payee list, so we can find out if the addresses are correct to the people I am trying to send money to in the future. He has not been able to reclaim the money as it was through 'friends and family' and was claimed very quickly, and the person who incorrectly received the money has refused any communication, let alone returning the money.
