@cchinedu, great question! PayPal functionality varies from country to country based on local and international banking laws and financial regulation. When you open an account with PayPal, the country you register should be your current residence and where you will be operating the account from. If your country of registration is Nigeria, unfortunately you are unable to receive payments via PayPal regardless of where your business is registered.
Best wishes,
- Jon K

Hello,
You can use PayPal to receive payments in Nigeria. There are two ways to integrate Paypal as a payment processor. First, you can connect your business PayPal account to your merchant store, provided your platform offers PayPal as a payment processor.
However, if you have your own independent merchant store, you can integrate PayPal by its API from your merchant account. Here are the two ways you can receive payments with PayPal in Nigeria.

Hello @Anonymous_User,
Thanks for your reply. The issue is not about integrating payment. I can do that using woocommerce or send an invoice.
The problem is I want to know if businesses in Nigeria are now officially allowed to receive payments via Paypal.
Personal Nigerian Paypal accounts can send payments but can't receive payments.
So I want to know if Nigerians are now allowed to receive payments with their Paypal account.
Thanks.

Hello @PayPal_JonK,
How are you today and thanks for your reply.
Please since I live in Nigeria, let us say I open a company outside Nigeria like the U.S. or Europe and then create a bank account for that company.
Can I still use Paypal to accept payments from clients and then from the foreign Paypal account have these payment sent to the foreign bank account from where I can transfer it to my Nigerian bank account.
Can Paypal allow me to do this? I want to be sure since I will be operating the Paypal account from Nigeria although using a U.S. or Europe registered business entity and bank account.
Thanks.

Nigerian accounts can send funds to other countries.
FEES are in the user agreement for each country.
Currency conversion can be viewed in your paypal wallet.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
