Sorry, we weren’t able to set up preapproved payments at this time.
Please return to the seller’s website and choose another way to pay.

Is there an answer to this?     If not, then how do we reactivate an inactive automatic payment?

Hello @yenul4 and @TT4KC,

Welcome to you both to our PayPal Community! Once a recurring subscription like this is cancelled at PayPal, you have to setup a new subscription agreement with the merchant. Billing agreements cannot be re-activated once they are cancelled, regrettably. You can also learn more about billing agreements here.

Thanks but this doesn't help.  I've already tried many, many times to set up automatic pay with the merchant (Netflix), only to get this error from PayPal each and every time:

I've had a similar issue with another merchant many years ago and PayPal had me digging through the old version to reset/delete the biller.   That version  no longer exists and there is no option to delete an inactive biller in the current version of PayPal.

So  - again, how do we fix this?

Thanks.

Update

This is FINALLY resolved, though I have no idea what PayPal did or didn't do.  Since I have recieved no communication, I'm guessing PayPal's "Security Review" simply expired.  I would REALLY like to know how it was resolved and what magic word do we consumers have to use to avoid this hassle in the first place.
