discover card not my linked card

Trying to make a transaction with an online merchant called soko glam that used to have paypal as an express payment option. It only has google pay which I used because its also linked to my paypal. Before making the transaction it shows, under Payment a discover card which is not my linked card (don't have a discover card). I know paypal's benefits is to protect payment info for security reasons when it comes to third party merchants. But is this process normal?

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear there's been some confusion regarding an unrecognized Discover card. Is this on your PayPal account or on your Google Pay account? If it's on your PayPal account, I'd recommend removing it and double-checking your account for any other unrecognized activity. If you find any, please report it through our Resolution Center as soon as it's convenient for you.
