A few days ago I wanted to make an online purchase. After an unsuccessful payment I received an email from PayPal with the content: Your payment of xx,xx EUR to ____ on 26 Sep 2022 couldn't be sent. Now the money is on hold. How can I get it faster back from PayPal?

Sorry english is not my first language. On my bank logs is “in authorization” in PayPal activity doesn’t show anything. In any case I can’t access to that “reserved” funds.

When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source.
