Wrong account

Hi! I sent my payment to the wrong account and my friend can not accept my payment. He does not remember his password on this account. What to do?

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear a recent payment isn't going quite as planned. If the payment is still unclaimed, you may have the option to Cancel it. Otherwise, you may want to see if the option to Open a Dispute is available. If all else fails, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams for further assistance by clicking "Contact" at the bottom of any PayPal page.

Well there is no option "Cancel" but my friend can't do anything with my payment. He can't accept or receive payment so is it possible that this payment recovers to me?

Hi @JoniFIN,

 

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry to hear that the cancel option is not there. If the payment is a goods and services payment, you have the option to open a dispute, as mentioned before. If the payment is a friends and family payment, your friend may have to contact PayPal to seek assistance receiving or refunding the payment.
