Transfer money to pay pal account ?

Hi, I've attempted to transfer money into pay pal from my Royal Bank of Scotland ac, Money has not appeared in this ac yet, Bank say it's up to pay pal to acknowledge payment? how long does this normally take? anyone else have an issue with transferring money in?
