Transactions fees

Hi ,

I used paypal account for all my transactions. The last two transactions were from my Visa card through PAYPAL. I send money to the supplier but it was fees deducted from my visa ( both translations) . I contact Paypal Team to know exactly the fees that they deduct. they confirm that the currency of my visa is USA. So, they did not deduct any fees. the deduction happened from the seller. I asked how it comes. the seller requested for a specific amount and I sent that amount. why there are fees deducted? Paypal does not have control over this.

I mean if the deduction was by Paypal it's fine since we know that there are fees on every transaction. but to be deducted from the seller. this is what I cannot understand. I tried to reach someone from Paypal but I could not. no one is available.

Note My bank is located in UAE. As per the customer service, they change the currency to USD. Paypal does not charge me . this is what they confirmed.

your clarification regarding this will be highly appreciated

thanks

Hello @Samaraslim

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! It sounds like you've been charged fees for some kind of international transaction on your Visa card's end - is that right? If so, we would recommend reaching out to your Visa card's end to see under what circumstances they would charge that specific fee.

Keep in mind, when you go to send money with PayPal, and there's a potential conversion, you may be presented with the option to have your card charged in another currency or have the currency conversion passed onto the card's end.

My apologies for any inconvenience this may caused,
