Should a pending payment show on receiving account?

I have a friend that sent me a payment through friends and family and it shows pending on their side but nothing shows up on my account as pending or anything, no email notification or anything, what went wrong? Shouldn't it be showing as pending in my account?

Yes, get them to check the email address that they sent the funds to and make sure there are no spelling errors or typos.

They sent me a screenshot showing my account and that it was pending but nothing has ever shown in my account, its been almost 2 weeks now.

As @kernowlass mentioned, it sounds like there could be an issue with the email address your friend sent the payment to. 

 

Please ask your friend to check what email address the payment was sent to and ensure it matches the email address on your account. 

 

Please also ensure that your email address is confirmed, see: How do I confirm my email address? (paypal.com)

Rebecca, they sent me a screen shot showing my account and picture so they have the correct info and my email has been confirmed. I sent them funds about a month ago and everything worked fine then. I'm just trying to figure out what happened. It just seems real strange the it showed on their side but nothing ever showed up on my side. I just trying to figure out how that could happen?
