Paypal can't verify it's me when paying something

Good day, 

 

I have a problem when it comes pruchasing things. I tried sending somebody money over but I constantly get the error message: "Sorry, we couldn't verify it's you" whenever I try to send money to that person. I was forced to send the money over as "friends and family" since whenever I use the "goods and services" option, it would come with the above mentioned error message. I can send money to some people and businesses just fine with the "goods and services" option but with some others it cause the error message to pop up. Is there someway to fix it? I can log in my account just fine, btw. Did I do something wrong without realizing it.

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues sending a payment to a specific person. Have you tried clearing your browser's history and cookies? That may help a bit. You may also want to try another browser or sending through your mobile app. Even though this is not a completely declined payment, here are a few common troubleshooting steps that may lend a bit of assistance as well: Why was my payment declined?
 

If you're still unable to send a payment after that, please reach out to our Customer Support teams to see what other issues may be present.
