Payment is on hold, again.

Hello,

I got a payment from a friend via paypal and it is on hold till march 11th. Now I know that your first payment is to be on hold for some reasons, but I have been getting money (not often) and form the same account. I wonder, why is it on hold when I have been getting money before? Will I ever be able to get payment and get it immediately? Can't find the way to ask PayPal directly.

Here’s how to add tracking information or change the order status to get your money sooner: 

  1. Go to your Activity
  2. Find the transaction you would like to update, then click Get your money
  3. If you sold a product, select Product to add tracking information or print shipping label directly. 
  4. If you received payment that does not require shipping, sold an intangible item or service, select Service or virtual product to confirm order status. 
  5. Click Submit

You'll get your money 7 days after confirming the order status as Completed.

 

If you don’t see these steps, just look for the transaction in Activity, and click it, then click “Add tracking info” and select “Order processed” or “Completed”.

 

You may even ask sender to ‘confirm receipt’ after 48 hrs, here’s how:

 

  1. Click Activity at the top of the page.
  2. Find and click the original payment for the item.
  3. Click Confirm receipt.
  4. Click Yes to confirm that you received the order.

***Not all purchases require receipt confirmation.

 

This hold happens when:

 

- sender forget to select f&f option when they pay

- can’t send a f&f payment due to country restrictions

- the function is disabled by PayPal from abuse

- your account is new or fairly new at receiving goods and services payments

- haven’t received payments in a long time or unusual activity for your account

- because PayPal detects high value or highly risky transactions

- change in products/services being sold

- received numerous complaints, disputes from customers or other users

Yeah, don't see any of those... 🙄 I can only refund, or message sender. This was from a friend just sending me the money to get the gift for my kids...
