Hello, I was just wondering if someone could help me. I’ve set paypal up to receive payment on a website. Normally people are given two options, to either ‘Login to PayPal’ or ‘Pay by Debit or Credit Card’, which makes sense.
However someone is trying to buy from me, they are only being given the option to login to paypal. I believe this is because they have an existing paypal account, so when they entered their email address paypal recognises this.
The problem is, this is an older person, who doesn’t remember the password for their PayPal account. Is there anyway to give them the option to just pay by card?

Hi @CharlotteGraff,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear that there's an obstacle to one of your buyers paying you!
On occasion, due to risk factors, the option to pay as a guest will not be offered, and login to a PayPal account is required to complete the payment. It sounds like the buyer may be running into this problem. I regret the inconvenience to both the buyer and to you. It's a safety and security measure that is intended to prevent loss from fraud.
I hope this helps clarify.
Olivia
