More than 10% fee on payment issue

Dear PayPal Community,

Every time I receive a payment, more than 10 to 15 percent is deducted as a fee. So, for every payment of EUR 10, I receive EUR 8.71, which is a deduction of EUR 1.29 or 13%. On a payment of EUR 2, the fee is EUR 0.54, which is more than 25%. On a payment of EUR 20, the fee is EUR 2.09-2.23, which is around 11% fee. 

The purpose of this thread is because the funds I receive in my PayPal account are collected for charity for children who live in the mountains of Montenegro and have to walk up to 15 km (>9 miles) through the snow. For every donation we receive more than 10 percent is deducted from the amount as a PayPal fee. Since there is no charity option on PayPal, I chose child care services for my business type.

Please advise on what can be done to solve this issue.

Talk to customer service, otherwise PayPal is charging the standard Commercial Transaction Rates, plus any currency conversion fees for donations in your country as posted. Perhaps add 10% or a flat amount to donation amounts to cover some of the fees. It costs money to process payments, too. The card companies charge PayPal their fees too, have to pay employees, make a profit…ya know, the capitalism thing.
