Money transferred to closed bank account

1 year back i have used paypal and I linked my bank account and I closed my bank account 1 year back, i forgot to remove the closed account from paypal , now yesterday my income was automatically transferred to that closed account

If the account is fully closed it should be rejected and returned to your PayPal account.  You may want to call the bank and get verification about that, and try to get a timeline on when it should show up there for you.  I think it could be different depending on the bank.  Some banks will even re-open such an account and drop the money in there.

@angelleye  if the money goes to someone's bank account, the bank will refund my money?

I come to know that the bank may use my old account number and it will be assigned to new customers same account number wich i am used .

Hmmm...that would be very odd for a bank to be re-using old account numbers.  That could cause conflicts like this very one.

I mean, yeah, if they have a new account opened up under the same number that you used before and you transfer money there, I would assume they're going to drop it into that account.

I have a very hard time believin they're re-using account numbers, though.  Did you verify this with your bank directly?

PayPal transfer my money automatically to my bank account but my account was closed earlier till then they sent me a demand draft. However, this DD is not in the name of the bank account holder BUT is under my personal business name... Which the bank cannot verify.. I can't withdraw cash using that demand draft because it should be in the name of the account holder.. Which it's not!! What do I do???
