Money sent to invalid email address

Ladies and Gentlemen
I sent money via PayPal to an email address that does not exist. The attempt to get the money back failed.
But the money has to be somewhere!??
What can I do?

What does it say on the transaction on your paypal account?

How did you fund the paypal payment?

Have you opened a dispute?

What transaction 'type' was it?
