A friend sent me money and its ON HOLD; I can't figure out how to access it. I want to send the money that is ON HOLD to my bank account.

If its on hold (and not just a pending echeque), then its because she did not use the friends/family option but sent it as a payment for goods/services and so paypal saw you as a seller and applied the hold as per link.

Thanks for your help;
I am lost. I have only ever used PayPal to pay for things I have purchased.
When I click on "Activity", I'm shown the transaction: Name of person who sent money and amount and it shows "on hold".
Then I'm also shown this:
"You have successfully updated shipment information. You’ll get your money within 1 day of delivery."
Since it says "... within 1 say of delivery.", I'm thinking, how is delivery indicated and by whom.
In theory, I am the person receiving something (in this case funds), so how would I indicate delivery?
I did indicate "completed" somewhere in the multitude of web pages.
