The only experience i’ve had with sending money to somebody who doesn’t have an account, was just putting their email in. They then receive it by going into that email and accepting it. I believe it doesn’t come off your balance until it’s accepted, but if you put in the wrong email, and the wrong person accepted your money which then completed the transaction and removed your funds from your account, I think your just out of luck and have to chock it up as a loss, but it might be possible to request a refund if im actually incorrect with the transaction not having to be accepted, and the email never being opened. Im sure they can tell if the transaction is still open and pending which then you should be able to cancel or if it was completed
