I recently purchased postage through eBay with PayPal. I have 3 different transactions of buying postage for different items. All 3 have been marked as successful but the money has not been taken out of my bank account yet.

Transfers from bank accounts are never instant, that is why when you buy something paypal credit the seller upfront for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer to pay them back again, this is so you get your item without delay. So equally the postage costs would be paid for upfront if you used paypal and paypal would wait for the processing bank echeque.

Takes 5-7 working days to transfer as Paypal use the slowest (cheapest) transfer option BUT funds normally leave your bank account from a few hours up to a few days later.

Ok, thank you. I was just worried as I have done the same before many times and the money usually comes out of my bank instantly but thank you.

Which is why I said it can be a few hours up to a few days later.

Its immediate if funded from your debit card and not bank account.
