I sent 500 EUR to a friend and the next day, I closed my Paypal account (Egyptian Paypal account).

The receiver couldn't withdraw the money and I was forced to give him the money again in cash.

I need to cancel the transaction but I cannot access the account since it's closed

No, I have the following:

• The closed account email address
• The transaction ID
• The receiver email
• of course, my bank details

I sent an email to phishing@paypal.com but got no response

Could anyone guide me?

No, He didn't. I think he won't be able to do that because my account is closed

Then if the funds are sitting in his paypal balance and he can't refund or withdraw then not sure what to suggest !

I understand you recently sent a friend some money, but they were unable to withdraw it. I'm sorry for the concern this has caused, @mahmoudamerm. Even though you've closed your PayPal account, your friend should still have the option to process a refund. The refund will then be returned to your original payment method in an average of three to five days. If you used your PayPal balance instead of a bank or card, please contact Customer Support once your friend processes the refund. You can contact Customer Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page. Support is also available if you send a DM to @AskPayPal on Twitter or a PM to facebook.com/PayPal.
