not sure what you did because Nigeria accounts cannot receive money. 

are you linking a card and is waiting for the $1.95 charge with 4-digit code to confirm it?

Don’t know how you added money because you can’t with do that with Nigeria accounts. At least you’re not supposed to. Maybe that’s why money not appearing. You can only buy online or send money with credit card. You cannot accept payments with PayPal in Nigeria.

You cannot buy funds to put in your PayPal account because Nigeria PayPal accounts cannot receive money or payments.

You will not receive notifications from PayPal because no one can send money to Nigeria PayPal accounts.

Not all PayPal accounts can receive money. Some countries can and some can’t.

How well you know this “friend” because you got scammed.
