Friend sent money and it froze the funds

It’s not a business account, friend sent money to help with car repairs. Master cylinder went out and we had no brakes. The funds were immediately frozen and they won’t release the car until they are paid. It’s the weekend here in America.

Do you mean the funds were on hold or pending or pending with a clearance date?

Did your friend select the friends/family option when they sent the funds OR did they send using the goods/services option?

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
