I AM PROVIDING A SERVICE FOR A FRIEND IN WHICH HE IS COMPENSATING ME FOR  WE USED PAYPAL TO SEND THE FUNDS NOT KNOWING THEY WOULD SIEZE MY MONEY FOR 3 WEEKS. I CANT COMPLETE OR EVEN CONTINUE WITH THE PROJECT SINCE PAYPAL HAS SIEZED MY MONEY. IF I COULD HAVE EXPLAINED THIS TO THEM IT MAY HELP YET THEY HAVE NO OPTION FOR EXPANATION. IF I HAD KNOWN THEY MAY SIEZE THE MONEY I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN A DIFFERENT METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING THE MONEY   BFNORCAL64

Firstly if you are providing a 'service' then your friend correctly used the goods/services option which means you were charged a fee and subject to the new seller hold as per link.

Secondly your friend decides how the payment is sent, if you received a goods/services payment then that is what he correctly sent and did NOT use the friends/family option where the hold would not apply.
