Failed transactions

My bank put a freeze on my card without telling me. I tried to buy something online using my debit card through the PayPal app but the transaction failed so I kept trying until I realised there were 6 pending transactions in my bank account. The bank have told me to contact PayPal to supply information regarding the transactions so they can remove the pending items. I rang PayPal and they have told me that my bank is incorrect, they will not say the payments were unsuccessful. Who is correct?

Do the transactions show on your paypal account? If so do they show pending?

No they don't, only in my bank account.

In which case as the transaction never went through and paypal did not get any money from your bank it would be between you and your bank to sort out.

Normally pending payments time out and drop back into your account so you would need to talk to your bank about that.
