I contributed money to Texas Tribune and no PayPal problem doing it. But then PayPal popped a box that would allow me to describe my success. I could click in the box but clicking in that box did NOTHING. It was not grayed out.

Using Brave browser on w10 desktop PC. Brave shields were turned off.

Can't try it a 2nd time because it disappeared as I tried to search for help. I had already completed the pay transaction, and this was at the end.
