Business account denies payments from India

Hi there.

I am new to PayPal and very recently set up a Business account to process international payments as I am freelancing online from South Africa. However, the first payment from an Indian account holder was apparently not able to go through. My client said that as soon as he clicked the Send button it displayed an error page.

I have no idea what the issue could be, and it is imperative that I am able to receive payments. I would greatly appreciate some help and advice with this!

Thank you kindly.

Hi @AbiGriffiths,

Welcome to the community and thank you for your post!

I do understand your concern with this. Typically when a customer receives an error when trying to send a payment, it would mean there are unresolved issues with their own account. I would suggest your customer check their 'Resolution Center for any notifications.

To receive a payment, all you need to do is provide the sender with your email address. If your email address is confirmed, you would receive the payment into your PayPal account. For steps on how to do this, please click here

I hope this helps!

Thanks for your help, Rachel, I appreciate that. It alleviates my concern that there was a problem with my own account.
